The Senior Systems Engineer, Replication is responsible for the implementation and support of Company’s Server Replication and Virtual Server Replication products. Additional responsibilities include: performance analysis, capacity planning, new Customer implementation, process documentation and training.
This position must possess exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. This position requires not only a high degree of technical talent, but equally important is the desire to work with people. Finally, the successful Senior Systems Engineer will require a high degree of critical thinking and imagination around problem solving.
Sr Systems Engineer Responsibilities:
-Provide implementation and post-implementation support of managed replication services including troubleshooting of problems, problem remediation, and configuration change request.
-Maintain a deep technical knowledge of managed services.
-Provide on-call support as needed
-Maintain existing documentation related to the services
-Create new processes and procedures related to on-going support of production customers.
Qualifications:
-College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent
-High degree of integrity, customer service and overall professionalism.
-10 years experience as a Windows Systems Administrator in a managed service provider role
-Advanced Active Directory Administration
-MSCE / MICPT Certifications
-Experience with asynchronous host based replication software
-Experience as an SQL Server and/or Exchange Server Administrator
-Windows clusters, network configuration (such as 802.1q), IP addressing and routing, SAN connectivity, basic scripting.
-Superior organizational/follow-through skills and ability to move quickly and get things done. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Results oriented, analytical, well organized.
-Must possess the ability to work effectively in a coordinating role across multiple constituencies, a strong, open and collaborative style, a customer-service orientation with a focus on excellence, outstanding communications skills.
-A proven track record of supporting a technology organization in a complex, and highly customer-focused environment. Must have a strong work ethic, with a high degree of credibility and integrity.
-Proven track record in reviewing system documentation and providing recommendations and maintenance/ service requests for technical and procedural changes.
-Extensive problem-solving skills for debugging OS, application, and server related network issues.
-Extensive knowledge of Systems Virtualization.
-Must possess exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
